Ware Malcomb

Ware Malcomb has appointed Daniel Gehman as Director, Multifamily, at its Irvine, California, corporate office. Gehman brings more than 35 years of architectural experience, having spent 27 years as a Principal and Studio Director at Southern California firms specializing in residential infill and transit-oriented multifamily projects. A Cornell University architecture graduate with a Master of Theology from Biola University, Gehman serves as an Adjunct Professor at USC’s Master of Real Estate Development program. He will focus on expanding the firm’s West Coast multifamily architectural presence.

Ware Malcomb has also appointed Craig Anderchak as Director, Interior Architecture & Design in its Atlanta office. Anderchak brings over 28 years of industry experience creating award-winning interior design solutions for corporate office, financial, retail, and warehouse projects across the Southeast. A Florida State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Anderchak previously served as President and Finance Director of the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). He will lead growth and management of the firm’s interior architecture studio while expanding opportunities throughout the Southeast and East Coast.

Dimensional Innovations

Experiential design firm Dimensional Innovations has hired Paula Bolton Neston as Cultural Practice Executive to lead its museum, zoo, and cultural projects team. Neston brings over 27 years of exhibit design and fabrication experience, most recently serving as Technical Design Director at Cinnabar California. A Southern California Institute of Architecture graduate, her notable work includes “The Secret Life of Pets” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, exhibits at the National Museum of American History, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. She will drive growth and operational excellence for the Kansas City-based experience design firm’s cultural practice.

DesignAgency

DesignAgency has promoted Lorelei Lucas to Principal after 17 years with the Toronto-based international studio. Lucas joined the firm in 2008 and has served as Director of Operations and Quality, overseeing internal systems and ensuring seamless collaboration across global teams. She has been instrumental in developing the studio’s training and mentorship programs while cultivating elite design talent. Her strategic problem-solving and institutional knowledge have shaped DesignAgency’s evolution as the firm expanded to offices in Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., establishing itself as a global leader in hospitality-led environments.

JCJ Architecture

JCJ Architecture has appointed Scott Celella as President, succeeding Peter Stevens, who has held the role for more than two decades. Celella, who has served as COO for 20 years and has been with the firm for 30 years, brings exceptional problem-solving skills and client engagement expertise. Stevens transitions to Principal/President Emeritus and will continue to be involved in select projects and M&A activities. Barry Goldstein, Western Region Managing Director, steps into the COO position. The leadership transition maintains continuity as the employee-owned firm approaches its 90th anniversary in 2026.

The architectural firm has also promoted Matthew Horn, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to Managing Director of the Western Region, overseeing operations across Tulsa, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Diego offices. Horn succeeds Barry Goldstein, who transitions to Chief Operating Officer. A University of Oklahoma architecture graduate with over 18 years of experience, Horn joined JCJ’s Tulsa office in 2021 and has served as Project Architect, Project Manager, and Studio Leader. He will focus on strengthening JCJ’s hospitality design leadership while expanding into community-focused markets, including destination projects with tribal partners and work in education, cultural institutions, and adaptive reuse sectors.

IIDA New York Chapter

IIDA New York Chapter has announced that Lance Amato, FIIDA, was posthumously inducted into the IIDA College of Fellows on Jun. 8, 2025, during the IIDA Annual Meeting in Chicago. Amato, who passed away earlier this year, served as the youngest-ever President of IIDA NY in 2011 and was Director of Client Experience at Canoa. Throughout his two-decade career, he championed sustainability and human-centered design while mentoring future professionals. The chapter has established the Lance Amato Award to honor behind-the-scenes leaders with 10+ years of continuous service, celebrating his legacy of dedication and community building.

Gensler

Gensler Middle East has appointed Todd Pilgreen as Co-Managing Director, replacing Tim Martin and joining current Co-Managing Director Tariq Shaikh to lead the firm’s Middle East practice. Pilgreen brings over 30 years of international design and leadership experience, having served as Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Shanghai office for six years before relocating to Dubai in 2024. He currently leads the Asia Pacific Middle East region’s Mixed Use & Retail Centers and Retail & Consumer Experience Practice Areas. The leadership transition follows Tim Martin’s six-year tenure and positions the firm for continued growth across the GCC region.

Additionally, Gensler has appointed Stephanie Pons Reece as Regional Healthcare Practice Area Leader, based in Houston. Reece brings expertise in healthcare strategy, operations, and design, having guided U.S. health systems and global programs through complex transformations. Her experience includes consulting with major healthcare organizations on operational master planning and capital planning challenges, plus international work in South Africa, Spain, and Argentina. Previously at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, she holds degrees from Middlebury College, Brown University, and Rice University. Reece will focus on building collaborations with health systems and academic medical centers across the South Central region.

Kallista and Robern, Kohler Co.

Kallista has promoted Alexander Dornbracht from Managing Director to Vice President and General Manager of Kallista and Robern, part of Kohler’s Luxe Division. A fourth-generation member of the prominent German kitchen and bath manufacturing family, Dornbracht previously served as President and CEO of Dornbracht until 2021. Under his leadership at Kallista, he has launched new collections including 002, Guise, Bezel, and Aileron, while positioning the brand in the ultra-luxury market. Dornbracht is halfway through his five-year strategic vision and recently led Kallista’s debut at Salone del Mobile in Milan.

CannonDesign

CannonDesign has appointed Loretta Fulvio as Sports Market Leader, based in the firm’s Dallas office. A proven interior designer, Fulvio brings extensive experience designing signature projects across professional, collegiate, and community sports, including numerous projects with the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NHL, and MLB. She specializes in creating hospitality-infused design solutions that elevate fan experiences and leverage emerging trends and technologies. Fulvio will collaborate with CannonDesign’s sports leaders Colleen McKenna and Aaron Pleskac to drive a unified national vision, strengthening the firm’s position as a top 10 global sports architecture practice.

The design firm has also appointed Elizabeth Von Lehe, NCIDQ, ASID, as Senior Design Leader in its New York City office. A nationally respected designer known for blending interiors, branding, curation, and user experience into story-rich environments, Von Lehe brings diverse experience spanning fashion, furniture, interiors, and experience strategy. Her notable projects include the net-zero OC San Headquarters Complex, Hubbard Tower at Children’s Omaha, and MSK’s Josie Robertson Surgery Center. In 2023, she led Turf’s NeoCon Experience Center design, which earned IIDA’s Best Large Showroom and Best of Competition honors, with the expanded center recently receiving Best in Show recognition.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)

ASID has announced four new inductees to the ASID College of Fellows, the Society’s highest honor, which is awarded to fewer than one percent of members. The 2025 Fellows include Darrin Brooks, professor at Utah State University and advocate for interior design legislation; Douglas Feldman, principal of Feldman Design Studio and chair of ASID’s Advocacy Committee; Virginia Weida, CEO of Virginia WeidaDesigns and 2024 ASID Advocate of the Year; and Ken Wilson, design principal at Perkins&Will and sustainability leader who developed the first dual LEED and WELL Platinum project. The Fellowship recognizes sustained contributions to practice, education, research, and advocacy.

Perkins&Will

Perkins&Will has welcomed back Matt Malone as Science and Technology Practice Leader for its New York and Philadelphia studios. Malone returns after three years as Senior Vice President of Life Science at Taconic Partners’ Elevate Research Properties, where he led projects like the award-winning West End Labs office-to-lab conversion. Previously, he spent five years at Perkins&Will designing transformative research spaces, including Innolabs (NYC), Hudson Research Center (NYC), and Georgia Tech’s Science Square (Atlanta). His dual experience as architect and developer provides a unique market perspective for navigating economic pressures and evolving tenant needs in life sciences environments.

Perkins&Will Miami has appointed Amanda Hertzler as Co-Principal and Director of Design, partnering with Co-Principal Jorge Bernal to lead the studio’s creative and business strategy. A Miami resident since 2008, Hertzler brings decades of visionary design leadership across workplace, multifamily, hospitality, and retail sectors. Her notable projects include the Related Group’s Coconut Grove headquarters and commercial landmarks throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. Recognized as a Bisnow Power Woman, GlobeSt. Woman of Influence, and among South Florida Business Journal’s Most Influential Women, she emphasizes context-driven design and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

FXCollaborative

FXCollaborative has joined forces with Lemay, an international design practice headquartered in Canada, to enhance their global reach and unite complementary expertise. The New York-based architecture and urban design firm, founded over 45 years ago, will maintain its distinct identity while gaining access to Lemay’s network across six countries. Both firms share a commitment to sustainable design and community-centric projects. The partnership combines FXCollaborative’s notable projects, such as the Penn Station Reconstruction and The Statue of Liberty Museum, with Lemay’s 400-person team to deliver integrated solutions worldwide.

Jeffrey Beers International

Jeffrey Beers International has appointed Justin Beers as Chief Development Officer & Managing Member. The son of late founder Jeffrey Beers, Justin brings over a decade of real estate development experience across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects, totaling more than $750 million in job cost volume. His previous roles include Director of Development at Knickpoint Ventures and Project Manager at Anbau Enterprises, working on luxury New York City condos. He joins the leadership team alongside Partners Michael Pandolfi, Nora Liu Kanter, and Tim Rooney, adding development expertise to the firm’s design capabilities while continuing his father’s legacy.

Walker Architects

Walker Architects has appointed Maggie Mitchell as Principal in its Atlanta office to strengthen the firm’s interior design leadership. Mitchell brings over 15 years of experience in corporate interiors, higher education, and institutional design, emphasizing a human-centered approach that focuses on how lighting, circulation, and acoustics impact well-being and experience. Her addition supports Walker’s investment in the Southeast since opening the Atlanta studio in 2023. Mitchell will help expand the firm’s ability to deliver flexible, future-ready design solutions aligned with Walker’s Agile Design philosophy for organizations across the region.

Lissoni Architecture New York

Lissoni Architecture New York celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, marking a decade since opening at 79 Mercer Street in 2015 under Piero Lissoni’s direction and led by Stefano Giussani. Originally focused on interiors, the firm received certification in 2023 to expand into full architectural services. The practice has built a portfolio of award-winning projects, including The AKA Hotel Nomad in New York City, AKA Alexandria in Virginia, the Flos B&B Italia Group Flagship Store on Madison Avenue, and the Ritz Carlton in Miami. Current projects span Austin, Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Mexico.

Walker Warner

Walker Warner has appointed Greg Mottola, FAIA, as Partner and Chief Executive Officer. Mottola brings more than 35 years of architecture experience, having spent the majority of his career as a Principal at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, where he led high-profile projects across residential, commercial, academic, and cultural sectors while helping shape the firm’s national presence. A nationally recognized leader known for design excellence and human-centered architecture, Mottola will focus on expanding Walker Warner’s strategic vision, mentoring next-generation leadership, and continuing the San Francisco firm’s legacy of contextually driven design and craft-focused residential expertise.

Elgin brings over 20 years of hospitality interior design experience, having worked on projects for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, MGM Resorts, and boutique properties globally. An Art Institute of Dallas graduate, she will collaborate with renowned hoteliers, design firms, and procurement companies to create memorable art collections that enhance guest experiences. Her design-first approach aligns with Eaton Fine Art’s commitment to storytelling through art curation.

Elkus Manfredi Architects

Elkus Manfredi Architects has promoted 19 staff members, including seven to Senior Associate and 12 to Associate positions. The Boston-based multidisciplinary firm promoted professionals across its Architecture and Interiors studios, with tenure ranging from recent 2022 hires to long-term employees, such as Thomas Mullen, who joined in 1996. Notable promotions to Senior Associate include James Dyer, Katarina Edlund, and Sinéad Khan (all joined in 2012) and Lawrence Ko (Interiors, 2013). The promotions reflect the firm’s positive outlook and recognition of staff who deliver exemplary results while embodying creativity, collaboration, and professional curiosity across architecture, interior architecture, urban planning, preservation, and graphics disciplines.

Ecore International

Ecore International has appointed Jeff Coté as President and Chief Operating Officer. Coté brings over 20 years of C-suite leadership experience, most recently serving as CEO, COO, and CFO at Sensata Technologies, where he navigated complex markets and delivered strong results. As President and COO at the Lancaster, PA-based company, he will oversee day-to-day operations, lead strategic initiatives including market expansion and acquisitions, and support integration of recent acquisitions like HTI Recycling. Ecore transforms reclaimed rubber materials into high-performance products, focusing on circularity and sustainability to reduce environmental impact.

HKS

HKS has appointed Brendan Owens, PE, LEED Fellow, as Chief Sustainability Officer, succeeding Rand Ekman, FAIA, LEED Fellow, who transitions to CSO Emeritus after nearly a decade of transformative leadership. Based in Washington, D.C., Owens brings extensive experience as the former Chief of Engineering at the U.S. Green Building Council, where he helped shape the LEED rating system, and as Chief Sustainability Officer at the U.S. Department of Defense, where he integrated climate strategies across one of the world’s largest real estate portfolios. His appointment supports HKS’s commitment to regenerative design and sustainability initiatives under the upcoming leadership of CEO Heath May in January 2026.

ROAM Interior Design

ROAM Interior Design has opened a new Los Angeles studio led by Studio Practice Leader Scott Joyce and Design Director Gareth Payne. Joyce brings over 25 years of experience as founder of Scott Joyce Design, specializing in luxury architecture, interiors, aviation design, and historic restorations, with work featured in Architectural Digest and Elle Décor. Payne has contributed more than 20 years to contemporary hospitality design, including director roles at Château Marmont, Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio, and United Designers London, with award-winning projects for Mondrian, Andaz, and W Hotels. The expansion joins ROAM’s studios in Dallas and London, strengthening the firm’s West Coast presence.

Huntsman Architectural Group

Huntsman Architectural Group has promoted four team members, including three to Senior Associate and one to Associate. Jamie Cavalier, RID, IIDA (Chicago, 2021) and Megan Pool, RID, IIDA (Chicago, 2018) bring interior design expertise to workplace and repositioning projects, with Cavalier serving as former President of IIDA Illinois. Oleg Lyamin, Associate AIA (New York, 2017) contributes 15+ years of translating design vision into high-performing solutions for clients like Delta Dental and Moody’s. Carlos Rodríguez, AIA, NCARB (Chicago, 2018) brings over 20 years of experience and serves on the firm’s Building Information Modeling committee.
