John Bambick is an interior design firm looking for a dynamic Interior Design Associate to provide direct support to the Design Principal and Managing Principal. The ideal candidate is a team player who is highly motivated, flexible, detail-oriented and an effective communicator who is passionate about creating stellar spaces. This role is suited for those with 2-4 years of experience in high-end residential design.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct image research for new projects and prepare mood decks

– Draft furniture plans, elevations, renderings, and custom furniture drawings

– Generate proposals, place/track orders, and coordinate shipping

– Assist in the preparation of project deliverables as well as client meetings

– Assemble construction and finish schedules

– Oversee selections and specifications of all FF&E

– Involvement from the very beginning stages of the project through fruition and in direct communication with clients, architects, builders, and contractors

– Space planning and preparation of floor plans, renderings/sketches (as needed)

– Create detailed millwork and cabinetry drawings

– Communicate closely with vendors, showrooms, workrooms, and manufacturers

– Manage and oversee project budgets

– Provide support on project installations and post-project follow-up work

– Attend client meetings and site visits

– Build the office’s materials and samples library

Qualifications:

– 2-4 years of experience as a Designer/Project Manager in the design field

– Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field

– Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and timing

– Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

– Advanced proficiency in CAD, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite

– Proficiency in Studio Designer is a plus

– Comfortable traveling to local and out-of-state job sites

– Strong presentation skills; excellent verbal and written communication

– Strong familiarity with fabric, textile, and rug vendors a plus
